Can you believe we’ve already turned the page to August? Late summer has a special rhythm all its own—the long, sun-drenched afternoons, the subtle shift in the evening breeze, and that gentle reminder to slow down and savor every last drop of the season. (And my favorite— Lightening bugs).
***August is also a great month because it’s my birthday month. On August 2nd I’ll be making my 55th trip around the sun. You know double nickels and all that.***
Whether you’re pouring a fresh glass of iced tea to beat the late-summer heat or settling in with a warm cuppa to warm your chill, I’m so glad you’re here.
As we gather around our virtual porch today, I’m sending out extra warm wishes to friends both near and far. To everyone enjoying the high heat of summer here in the North, I hope you’re finding quiet moments of shade and rest. And to our sweet friends down under navigating the chill of winter, I’m sending a little bit of sunshine and warmth your way today! Distance truly disappears when we come together to share our hearts, creative projects, and stories.

It is hard to believe it’s August already. I’m not outside much at night, but we did see some lightning bugs on the 4th of July!
