Taking time for Respite is not a sign of weakness; it’s a testament to your humanity and a recognition of your limitations. It’s about honoring God’s design for our well-being and allowing Him to renew your strength. So, dear friend, don’t be afraid to slow down, seek refuge in rest, and allow God to replenish your soul.
So, take a deep breath; let go of the burdens momentarily. Seek out your own form of Respite, a space where you can reconnect with yourself, God, and the beauty surrounding you. In the arms of Respite with God, you will find the strength and peace to carry on, knowing that God is always with you, ready to guide and renew.
May you find your own quiet corners, your moments of Respite, and be filled with the peace and strength that only God can give.

I don’t like to take a break,
respite’s not for me.
To pause to think is a mistake,
for it is then I see
the dreams that God placed in my care,
gone to ruin, all for naught.
Better far be unaware,
better they’re forgot
than live as shades to haunt my days
which now are so constrained.
There are still ways that God is praised,
but not with what I have attained;
rather, praise is what I borrow
from what I still might do tomorrow.
I try to do it regularly and because I need it, without it I fall apart, so I do it more and more consciously. I take a moment to diamond paint, sometimes listening to a piece of David Guzik’s explanation (I’ve started on the letter to Timothy in my Bible). Just like you say: God is always with us, ready to guide and renew us.

Great idea to practice!
My husband and I have been watching the early seasons of the Chosen–a good choice for Lent. I have been reminded of the times Jesus went off alone to pray. It is good to follow his example in some way–a prayer walk, time in scripture or just time in nature appreciating God’s creation.
I loved watching the Chosen.
