God’s Warrior is a 40-day devotional designed to inspire and equip young boys to live lives of faith, integrity, and godly courage. Authored by Stacey Pardoe and co-written with her sons, Caleb and Aiden, the book moves beyond surface-level platitudes to address the daily challenges and spiritual battles young boys face. Each devotion focuses on a key trait of a “God’s Warrior”—not a fighter with a sword, but a boy who stands firm in his faith, exhibits self-control, shows kindness, and maintains integrity even when it’s hard.
The book is structured to make biblical truths highly relatable and actionable, with each entry featuring a Scripture verse, a short, engaging reading, “Words From a Fellow Warrior in interviews with Caleb or Aiden, and prompts for prayer and reflection. The ultimate purpose is to teach boys that their true strength comes from Christ and that being a warrior means choosing the path of righteousness and kindness over fear and pride.
I absolutely loved this tenderhearted devotional! Its unique strength lies in the authenticity brought by the co-authors. Stacey’s sons, Aiden and Caleb, are such relatable young men, their honest and tenderhearted youth shining through in their contributions. Their real-life experiences and honest perspectives make the biblical lessons feel immediate and accessible to the target audience, bridging the gap between historical text and modern-day application. The blend of motherly wisdom and youthful insight makes this a genuinely resonant resource.
This devotional comes with my highest praise. I wholeheartedly recommend this devotional, and it will be an excellent gift for parents, grandparents, and friends to give to friends or family with young boys. Ideal for boys ages 5-12. It’s an investment in their character and faith journey!
