When shadows fall, daylight fades away,
And burdens press too heavy for the day;
a gentle whisper echoes in the soul,
“Let go the tears, and make your spirit whole.

Even Jesus, in His human frame, Knew sorrow’s
touch and called upon God’s name. In Gethsemane’s
garden, drops like blood did fall, A testament that
tears embrace us all.

They are not weakness, these that softly stream,
But evidence of love, a broken dream, A letting
go of pain that grips the heart, A brand new
start, a tearing grief apart.

The Lord is near; He sees each falling tear,
He holds you close, dispelling every fear.
He knows the language that your teardrops speak,
The silent sorrows that can make you weak.

So don’t restrain the weeping of your eyes,
A cleansing rain beneath compassionate skies.
For in that vulnerability, grace descends,
And God’s own comfort tenderly extends.

He gathers every drop within His hand,
A precious offering He understands.
And in His love, a solace you will find,
A peace that settles gently in your mind.

So let them flow, these tokens of your pain,
For after darkness, sunlight will remain.
And in the morning, strength will rise anew,
Washed clean and hopeful, held and loved by you.

Candidly — Paula
