Scripture:
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31— NIV
Encouragement:
It\’s refreshing to know that God has promised to renew our hope and strength when we\’re feeling down, tired, or worn out.
This verse is one of my very favorites. It is a beautiful reminder that no matter how we feel, we can come to Him in our weakest moments and lay all our burdens at His feet. He promises to carry them for us and refresh us with new hope and strength – even as the eagle flies high above the storms of life.
The eagle is a magnificent bird known for its strength and endurance. But even the eagle must rest and renew itself before embarking on a new journey. In the same way, we need to come to God in times of weariness and allow Him to restore our souls.
Waiting on the Lord doesn\’t mean sitting idly by but actively trusting in Him and seeking His guidance. When we do this and commit to spending quality time enjoying His presence, we can rest assured that strength and new hope will rise within us. We don\’t have to feel constantly worn down and exhausted. Instead, we can experience the refreshment and renewal that only comes from our loving Father.
Here are some ways to apply Isaiah 40:31 to our lives:
- When we are feeling weary, we can pray to God for strength. He will renew our strength and give us the power to keep going.
- When we’re facing challenges, we can remember that God is with us. He will help us to overcome our challenges and soar to new heights.
- When we feel discouraged, we can remind ourselves of God\’s promises. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will always be there to give us strength and hope.
Let’s Reflect
Isaiah 40:31 is a powerful promise of renewal and endurance. When we feel weary and worn out, we can find new strength in God. He can help us to rise above our circumstances and see the big picture. He can give us the endurance to keep going, even when things are tough.
If you’re feeling weary and worn out today, I encourage you to put your hope in God. He will renew your strength and give you the power to keep going. May we never forget the refreshing promise in Isaiah 40:31. It\’s so precious!
