I\’m linking up with friends for Share Four Somethings March 2023 over @ Jennifer\’s place, Overflowing With Thankfulness; each month, we share something we Loved, Read, Learned, and Ate.
Something Loved
So I can\’t say that I loved it, but I enjoyed house-sitting for my best friend while she and her husband drove his sister, who\’s moving to Florida, to Florida. They were gone for two weeks, so I was delighted to babysit their dogs. Between their dogs and mine, they were a hoot.
Something Read
Okay, so it\’s March, and I have to say I\’ve been referencing Mary Geisen\’s book the Advent Narrative; The Life You Didn\’t Know You Were Already Living. I chose Advent for my Word Of The Year 2023. The way Mary tenderheartedly explains things is so easy to understand. I felt such warmth, joy, excitement, and anticipation about awaiting Jesus\’ return in our everyday wilderness.
Something Learned
I enjoy reading about interesting, strange, medical, history, animal, and earth facts. And more. So I Google different things, and there are some very interesting things out there.
Ate
Oh My! My friend made liver. Specifically breaded calf liver and onions. Yes, I am a liver fan. Then today, before I started writing this, I made haluski. Fried cabbage and noodles, I added some onion and a bit of garlic too. It was good; but I can never seem to make anything exactly the same and as good as my parents used to make.
Sending have a great April wishes your way dear friends.

Hi Paula. I make haluski about once per year. So good!
Way to go Tom. I Love haluski.
Paula, I love reading your Share Four Somethings. Sounds fun with all the dogs. And thanks for reading, research and food shares🥰
You are much braver than I am! I have never tried liver and can’t say that I have that craving, LOL! Stopping by from Share Four Somethings
I’m so glad you were able to house sit, Paula, sometimes a change of scenery invigorates us. The book sounds very encouraging, thanks for the recommendation.
It was fun. And you’re welcome for the book recommendation dear friend.
I’m glad you had a fun time housesitting and enjoyed the dogs. I’d expect Mary’s book to be good! She’s such a good writer and so insightful. Well, we might differ on our food choices, Paula. lol. But to each his own! 🙂
Liver. Oh my. My mom was a fan of liver…for dinner?!? Although she never made it for the family (thank you, Dad!) I’m glad you enjoyed yours, though! And I’m sure two weeks of extra dog company was quite interesting…and fun!! So nice you could do that! Hope you are having a good week!
I enjoyed reading Mary’s book, and I agree, it’s good at any time of year. I also relate to googling a lot. So often something random crosses my mind that I am curious to find out about. It is a great way to learn more!
