I was coming home from a day out. I was looking out the window (I was not driving). At a stoplight, I happened to notice the nearest barren tree of western Pennsylvania. What to my amazement did I see? two birds nests, with no tenants, because they are south for the winter.

Okay, what\’s so special about a bird\’s nest you may wonder? As we drove home, I was observing the trees along the way. To my astonishment, a great number of trees had vacant nests in them. Okay, Paula, get to the point\'(I\’m getting there).

My amazement was the fact that those bird\’s nests were perfectly stuck into place, I began to think of the elements those nests held tight through. High winds, snow, rain, freezing rain, sleet, etc… Okay, so what materials do birds use to build those tough nests? Well, it depends on the bird, and what climate, and region of the world they reside in. Here in Western Pennsylvania, Birds use mud, sticks, grass, hay, fur, saliva, leaves, and some man-made materials such as plastics, tiny pieces of fabrics, and paper.

Basically, They are tough, strong, and Protective. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, provides us with protection and strength.

Jesus looked at them and said \”With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible\”

Matthew 19:26 NIV

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

God gave the birds the instincts of strong and protective home building. In the same way, God is our rock, solid foundation, immovable, unshakeable, (I can go on and on). God is our strength and protection. I was happy to be mindful and observe this beautiful sight on this day.

I Love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18:1-2 NIV

God is praised for his glorious works and blessings. His protection for his people is limitless and can take many forms. What a glorious and wonderful Lord we have.
