As we settle into the heart of the season, I want to send an extra-warm welcome to all of our friends joining us from near and far. To our friends in the Northern Hemisphere, I hope you are staying cool and soaking up these bright, sun-drenched summer days. And to our wonderful friends down under who are bundled up right now, I’m sending you some cozy warmth to brighten up your winter days. No matter what the thermometer says outside your window, you always bring so much warmth to this space.
A Little Mid-Year Plot Twist…
If you’ve been around here for a while, you might know that June and December are typically my scheduled “off” months from writing—my designated times to step back from the keyboard, recharge the creative well, and just breathe.
Well, life has a funny way of shifting our plans! Just a few days ago, I looked back at the calendar and realized something funny: I completely wrote my way right through June! The words just kept flowing, and before I knew it, my “rest” month was filled with posts.
Because I skipped my summer break last month, I’ve decided to hit the pause button now. I’ll be taking the entire month of July off from writing to give myself that much-needed breathing room.
But don’t worry—I’m not going far! While the blog might be quiet on my end, I am so looking forward to visiting with all of you. I can’t wait to grab my favorite mug, sit back, and spend the month reading your beautiful posts, catching up on your stories, and dropping by your corners of the internet.

Yep, have always been a homebody. Sisters use to drive me crazy, up early and wanting to know where we could go each day. Usually, they went without me as I begged off to just be home unless in the Summer we were going swimming. Enjoy your break and thanks for the link up.

Have a great holiday; and thanks for featuring my post on Citizenship: I wish the Supreme Court would understand plain English instead of twisting themselves into a pretzel to satisfy the illegals. I’m not very happy with them considering their latest judgement: they seem to get more and more political every year, instead of sticking to the plain writ. Citizenship is not that hard to understand!
